WASHINGTON, DC – The 京东影业影视传媒 & the Public is excited to announce that Adam Bly, Founder and CEO of System, has joined the Society鈥檚 Board of Trustees. System is a new Public Benefit Corporation reinventing how we organize and discover data and knowledge. Before founding System, Bly led data at Spotify following their acquisition of Seed 京东影业影视传媒, the data science company he founded. Bly competed in the International Science and Engineering Fair in 1998.

Bly began his career at the National Research Council Canada and left the lab to launch the popular science magazine, Seed. For his efforts to advance the public’s understanding of science, Bly was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal.

Bly is also a member of the Society鈥檚 National Leadership Council (NLC) and will serve as a liaison between the two groups. The NLC is composed of 京东影业影视传媒 & the Public alumni leaders, focused on promoting the Society鈥檚 goals and the achievements of its alumni.

A devoted advocate of science, Bly was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, a Visiting Senior Fellow in Science, Technology & Society at Harvard Kennedy School, and he has been an advisor at the United Nations.

鈥淪cience fairs profoundly shaped my life and career. Growing up, I competed in 20 or so science fairs around the world. They helped me cultivate my nascent passion for science and taught me how to communicate science effectively to聽scientists and non-scientists alike, a skill that overwhelmingly impacted my career,鈥� said Bly. 鈥淭oday, I advocate for science fairs every chance I get. At a time when it is absolutely critical that we restore science to its rightful place in society, engaging and serving all of society, I am honored to join the Board of Trustees of the 京东影业影视传媒 & the Public to help steward a bright future for this important organization.鈥�

In his youth, Bly competed in more than 20 science fairs and won Best of Category in Biochemistry at Intel ISEF 1998. Born in Montreal, Bly attended McGill University.
